WHY Doggy Days & Cat Nap Acres?

OUR INSPIRATION TO BUILD THIS FACILITY CAME ABOUT FROM OUR UNDERSTANDING THE CONCERNS AND WORRIES PET OWNERS STRUGGLE WITH WHEN THEY MUST BOARD THEIR PETS.
OUR LOVE & CONCERN, ALONG WITH THE  PLEASURE WE RECEIVE FROM HAVING OUR OWN PETS, WHOM WE CONSIDER PART OF OUR FAMILY, IS LARGELY A PART OF OUR REASON FOR BUILDING DOGGY DAYS & CAT NAP ACRES..

This company was developed out of pure necessity, along with a long time passionate desire to meet the needs of caring pet owners in our community, as well as visitors to our community. The need being a pleasant, comfortable home away from home to take care of people's pets with the same love & care that they give them at home.

Since opening up our doors in October of 2005, it has been the most rewarding endeavor I have ever taken on.
People are very appreciative in knowing that their pet was cared for in a the manner that they wanted. It truly makes me feel good inside knowing that pets can come and stay with us & go home without experiencing the stress that often occurs when pets are boarded.

Doggy Days Cat Nap Acres is unique in what and how we offer our pet care services.

I have worked at and managed a veterinary clinic for 27 years and know what pet owners want for their pets and have the knowledge of what pets need.

A high percentage of today's pet owners consider their cat(s) or dog(s) as family members. We are among those. This is why we understand that pet owners have some apprehension about the care their pet receives when they must leave them in the care of others.

While we may always want our pets with us, sometimes it isn't possible or practical. So when you must leave your pet in the care of others, you want to retrieve a happy and healthy pet upon your return.

Often times when pets are left at boarding facilities they can experience anywhere from a mild to severe amount of stress (Separation Anxiety). This can lead to a range of ailments such as diarrhea, weakened immune system from lack of rest, self mutilation (chewing, biting from boredom or nervousness), vomiting and lethargy.

These stresses can be avoided with the right kind of attention and stimulation. Your pet should have an environment where it feels comfortable and safe, receives individual attention and has a diet that is meets his/her nutritional needs. It is also important for pets to follow their normal bathroom habits. Senior pets require special attention, while other pets may need special diets due to heart, kidney or liver disease; others may need medication and must stay on their regular schedule. You, as the pet owner, can do a few things to help your pet adjust to being boarded.

WHEN YOU MUST LEAVE YOUR PET IN THE CARE OF OTHERS, IT'S NICE TO HAVE PEACE OF MIND ABOUT WHO YOU LEAVE YOUR PET WITH. THE REASON WE DECIDED TO BUILD ON OUR OWN PROPERTY IS BECAUSE WE FEEL IT IS IMPORTANT FOR OUR GUESTS TO HAVE SOMEONE AVAILABLE 24 HOURS. WE ARE ONLY STEPS AWAY..

LEAVING YOUR PET(S) WITH US MEANS WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO MAKE YOUR PET FEEL AT HOME. WE WILL PROVIDE AN ACTIVE AND INTERESTING ENVIRONMENT WITH TLC.

YOUR PET DESERVES TO HAVE AN ENJOYABLE TIME WHILE YOU ARE AWAY. YOU DESERVE TO BE ABLE TO LEAVE YOUR PET WITHOUT WORRY. YOU CAN LEAVE THE WORRYING TO US. WE WILL KNOW IF YOUR PET DOES OR DOESN'T EAT, DOES OR DOESN'T USE THE BATHROOM, IF YOUR PET IS DEPRESSED, NERVOUS, FRIGHTENED OR JUST PLAIN UNHAPPY AND WE ARE PREPARED TO HELP YOUR PET WITH THESE PROBLEMS WITH CARE AND ATTENTION.

WHEN YOUR PETS STAY WITH US, THEY ARE NOT ONLY IN CARING HANDS, BUT THEY ARE WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE IN PET CARE. THE COMFORT AND WELL BEING OF THE PETS UNDER OUR CARE MEANS EVERYTHING TO US.

We are the Owners of Doggy Days & Cat Nap Acres.  I am the operator, Jim is my partner however he has his own profession.  I am thankful that he has been my partner and helped me to realize my dream.
Doggy Days & Cat Nap Acres was opened  in October of 2005. Doggy Days and Cat Nap Acres was inovated because the people of this community needed a place like ours. A place where each pet is respected as the unique individual that they are.  They are given custom care.

In my experiences working at a veterinary clinic for many years, I have come to understand what people wanted and needed in order to be able to leave their pets without having to worry.
That is why we are here. We wanted to be able to provide the needed  services.

It has been rewarding  from the personal satisfaction and the appreciation shown by our clients & also the happy pets.

We have provided care for pets from all across the country, visitors can leave their pets with us and
visit the many tourist attractions our area has to offer.
